CARTIER Art Deco Onyx Mother of Pearl Clock.
A weighty Art Deco clock dating from the 1920s by Cartier. The solidity is due to the fact that this piece is fashioned mainly from black onyx. Internal mechanisms are covered by a round mother-of-pearl face with Roman numerals. Each side is embellished with a champagne mirror and button of pink coral which has been carved into a dimensional pyramid form.
The longest side measures approx. 7″ at the base, tapering to approx. 4.25″ at top length. Depth is approx. 3.25″ with a height of 6.5″.
Made in France. Clock No. 1100. Additionally, numbered and Signed “Cartier”; circa 1920s.
