VAN CLEEF & ARPELS South Sea Pearl Diamond Ring in 18k Yellow Gold.
Emblematic of the magnificent pearl jewels from Van Cleef & Arpels in the 1980s, this cocktail ring features a noteworthy South Sea pearl surrounded by a halo of diamonds. The size of the centerpiece is 16mm and larger than most South Sea specimens, which measure 13mm on average. In addition, the pearl is round with a golden hue, brilliant luster, thick nacre, and clean surface. Framed with faceted white diamonds embedded in yellow gold bezels, the scalloped perimeter on both the top edge and bottom basket is complimentary to its subject. This Van Cleef & Arpels ring is a classic staple for any revered collection.
Diamond weight approx. 5.00 carats total. Pearl measures approx. 16mm. Top portion of ring measures approx. 0.90″ in diameter, width of band 0.25″ tapering to 0.10″ towards back shank, 0.63″ in height off the finger. Currently a US size 6.5 with an adjustable sizer insert; can be resized without interrupting hallmarks.
